1910 – Lucy and her sister Eva are devastated to learn on their father’s death that he had married their mother bigamously, making them illegitimate. If that isn’t bad enough, their father seemed to care nothing for them when he willed his entire estate to his legal wife leaving the girls and their mother Sylvia destitute.
In desperation Sylvia borrows money from a scheming loan shark Stan Naylor and when she can’t make monthly repayments he demands Lucy settle the debt in kind and he won’t take no for an answer.

My latest book Mothers and Daughters came out in June 2007. I am already halfway through my next book. I won’t reveal the title yet but intend to keep it a secret for the time being.
I have six months to finished it. That may seem a long time but it is not really. There is a lot of work and a lot of writing still to get through.
Back to the keyboard!
